Die EPT Prag ist seit 2007 ein Pflichttermin auf dem Reisekalender jedes Pokerspielers. Jedes Jahr kurz vor Weihnachten reisen Pokerspieler:innen aus aller Welt in die „Stadt der goldenen D\u00e4cher“, um dort mit Stil die EPT-Saison des Jahres ausklingen zu lassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die tschechische Hauptstadt ist einfach ein fantastischer Veranstaltungsort. Schlie\u00dflich geh\u00f6rt Prag zu den \u00e4ltesten und faszinierendsten St\u00e4dten Europas, mit unvergleichlicher Geschichte, Architektur und Kultur. Dazu kommen hervorragende (und relativ <\/em>preisg\u00fcnstige) Restaurants und ein gro\u00dfartiges Nachtleben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber all das wird vom Live-Poker bei den Events der European Poker Tour der EPT Prag<\/a> noch in den Schatten gestellt. Schon bei der Premiere 2007 holte sich der Franzose Arnaud Mattern im \u20ac5.000 EPT Prague Main Event<\/a> ein Preisgeld von satten \u20ac708.400. Damals traten insgesamt 555 Spieler:innen zum Turnier an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In den darauffolgenden Jahren gingen die Teilnehmerzahlen weiter in die H\u00f6he, und die Preisgelder f\u00fcr die Sieger bewegten sich weiterhin um die magische Zahl von einer runden Million US-Dollar. So sicherte sich der Kanadier Jordan Saccucci<\/a> 2022 den Titel beim \u20ac5.300 EPT Prague Main Event, als er sich in einem Feld von 918 Teilnehmer:innen durchsetzte und f\u00fcr seinen Sieg $962.126 mit nach Hause nahm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023 wurden diese Zahlen sogar noch \u00fcbertroffen, als der Ire Padraig O’Neill<\/a> – dank einer Rekordzahl von 1.285 Teilnahmen – ein Siegespreisgeld von \u00fcber einer Million Euro mit nach Hause nahm. Um genau zu sein: es waren \u20ac1.030.000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
